Well, seems Phil must have been impressed with the cable hat I made for myself, as he has requested I make one for him!! I didn't think he'd be asking for anymore hats since the last one I made for him was very unhat like. A few years back I had decided to pick up my needles after not knitting for years. I picked a very easy ribbed hat that was sewn up the side as my first project to get back into the swing of things(free - Lion Brand #60814AD ribbed hat pattern). I only had one pair of needles, they were the wrong size, the wool I had found at the shop was not even close to the weight of the one in the pattern...aaahhhh it didn't matter...WRONG!!! We laughed so much at that hat when I had finished, I most definitely didn't impress Phil with my knitting skills. I had told him I had made mittens in the past, I wonder what the mittens he pictured in his head must have looked like? I'm sure he thought all my future projects would look like mangled, lopsided creations. I must prove him wrong. If this turns out I think I will attempt to write my first pattern to post:)
As I mentioned last time, I had my Stitch N' Bitch group over so I've posted a picture of one of our little meetings. I hope I can get a group together (or join one) when we move to Greece. I love getting together with the gals and knitting...always many laughs!
My tea has gone cold, time for a refill and back to the hat...I want to finish before the weekend:)
